“We’re all about pouring our lives into other people, sharing with others the hope of Christ, the Love of Christ, and letting God do the rest.” – Sam Kimmel
Sam and Chris have been actively involved in short-term mission trips to 5 continents and 13 countries. In 2004 they felt a strong calling to go into full-time ministry in the Alaskan Interior. They partnered with Rob and Ticee Graham in 2008 to form Last Frontier Ministries.
Sam is a graduate of both Messiah College and Misericordia University with degrees in Family Studies and Nursing. He is also a licensed minister through International Fellowship of Ministries. Sam is currently working as a registered nurse in Fairbanks and as the volunteer EMS Director in Healy. Any time he can spare from work he spends in the village. His main role is outreach coordinator for village ministry and volunteer teams that come up with LFM.
Chris is a stay at home mom. Raising and homeschooling their 3 children; Miranda, Sammy, and Isaac. She’s also been homeschooling a couple of other students in their home over the last few years. Chris plays an active role in helping coordinate outreach trips when going to the village and works largely in hospitality for mission teams that come up.
